"Melhor era impossível!"

Numa visita meramente turística, deparámo-nos com este local que acrescentou um enorme valor à nossa viagem e marcou a mesma de forma bastante positiva. Comida fantástica, pessoas ainda mais fantásticas que colocaram amor em tudo o que fizeram. O fado estava presente de forma contínua e com uma ENORME qualidade. É esse o cenário que podem esperar, um ambiente fantástico, bastante familiar e repleto de fadistas de qualidade. Sem dúvida, um local a visitar. Garanto que não de irá arrepender!!!

Uma verdadeira experiência inesquecível! ❤️ No Saboe A Fado come-se muito, muito bem, com pratos saborosos preparados com carinho. O que torna o lugar único é que os próprios "empregados" cantam fado enquanto servem: uma emoção autêntica que nos transporta ao coração da cultura portuguesa. Sentimo-nos acolhidos como numa casa de família, rodeados de calor e generosidade. Um sítio imperdível no Funchal!

"A Magical Night at Sabor a Fado – Don't Miss It! " 

We loved our evening at Sabor a Fado in Funchal! From the moment we stepped in, we were wrapped in a warm and loving atmosphere that felt like being welcomed into a family home. The space is bursting with positive energy, incredible music, and pure talent. The servers aren't just attentive—they sing, and they do so beautifully! Every performance was heartfelt and captivating, and the transitions between serving dishes and singing fado added a special, personal touch to the night. The food was excellent, the vibe joyful, and "whiskey time" was the cherry on top. But the true star of the night? Sylvia. She is an absolute treasure—her voice is rich and soulful, and her hugs are as warm as her songs. If you're in Madeira, don't miss this place. It's more than just dinner—it's an experience that will stay with you long after the final note.

"Vibrancy, cultural and delicious food!"

We loved our experience at Sabor a Fado. The staff were extremely friendly and bubbly. The food was incredible. We ordered the bolo do caco entrée which was very complete and yummy. We then had as main dishes the sword fish; one with banana and the other with passion fruit. Unbelievable flavor pairing! Definitely recommend the one with passion fruit; the sauce was divine! For dessert we had tiramisu which was delicious and ended with some poncho that they make at the restaurant with a variety of fruits recommended by Nelson. The entire team was incredible. Everything paired with moments of fado make the experience all the more rich and immersive. ✨️

"A perfect marriage: fine food, great music and social setting "

Visited at the end of our 1 week trip to Funchal. The reviews are correct: this is a fantastic place which you must visit! It helped that the place was virtually full with a good vibe and lovely people seated with us: Portuguese/American & German. We had prawns and tuna on the stone and split between us (2) & a nice bottle of wine shared.. Lovely mix of music with the food. A great memory from the holiday
